Today was the day I had been hoping for for several months now! We were finally able to meet Jaydon's sister and adoptive mom. Although the physical resemblance between the two isn't terribly strong, it was fun to find a piece to fit into Jaydon's puzzle in life. She is a cute little girl who is almost exactly 2 years older than Jaydon.
How much contact will we have in the future? I am not sure, but I am excited that we have at least a reference point for communication now. I also found out that Jaydon may have more siblings than we originally thought. However, some of them we likely won't be able to find and the others, if they are staying where we think they are, we do not feel comfortable at this time trying to contact them.
Jaydon's sister's adoptive mom is an amazing woman! Her sweet, Christ-like spirit put us immediately at home and I had an amazing time talking with her. Before we left, she gave us some HUGE cookies to take home and share! They were cookies made on Saturday that she couldn't sell anymore so she gave them to us. She apologized that they might taste different because they were gluten free. Was I ever excited to tell her that we ate food that was gluten free! :) Love those little goodies that God brings along and how He can work in the smallest of details in our surprises!
Thank you for those of you who prayed! The weather was gorgeous and for the most part the children were well behaved! After the meeting we went to visit my mom at work so the kids could run around in the gym to help get out some of their energy. We then went to a park to have a picnic and let them play some more before we headed back home.
Thank you so much for praying!
