I am now more thankful for this snow storm for more than one reason. "S" was able to get her medical card updated and get checked in to a treatment facility yesterday, just in the "nick of time" before the brunt of this storm hit. Now for the next 72 hours, she will be in detox and not too many people can get to her even if they wanted to with the bad weather and roads. Please be in prayer for her and the baby as they go through this detox and that they will both have the stamina to endure. After the 72 hours, she will then go in to treatment. She will be limited as to who she will be able to have contact with (approved list) and will have to make calls from a public pay phone to people who have been approved -- keeping her access to her boyfriend, who they know to be a risk for her, at a distance.
Her next ob appointment wasn't this week, I guess, but is scheduled for next week, the 27th.
Please continue to pray for "S" -- some huge steps have been taken, so hopefully she will stay on the right path. She has our profile, and when she gets settled, she is hoping to meet us. We are also to contact the attorney next week, and touch base with her. She will then put together a letter putting all the expected expenses for this case in there, and then if we are ready to move on, we sign and are officially/legally matched. We are however, waiting to see if she will stay put with the treatment plan, but we know that no matter if we decide "yes" that there will be some risk involved with her backing out of treatment. But prayers can keep her in!!
